Action Performance Companies, INC is a worldwide leader in motorsports marketing and merchandising. They are best know for their die-cast replica cars from NASCAR, NHRA, CART and F-1 racing. Action has exclusive licenses with many of the top drivers in the sport.

This packaging program was created as part of a, limited edition, production run of die-cast collectible cars, commemorating the 1999 race in which Jeff Gordon drove a special Superman paint scheme car. Warner Brothers Studios provided the Superman style-guide.  The final packaging art required approvals from the following licensing departments; Warner Brothers Studios, DuPont Motorsports, Hendrick Motorsports, and Jeff Gordon.
